“Good quality and fits so well to the theme of my office – modern/chrome. Let me tell you, the steel is so sturdy and does not feel cheap at all. The size is perfect. There is nothing much really to say because it’s a stylish, modern and functional wall clock. It requires one AA battery, which is not included in the package.

I am attaching photos with the measurements to help you see the actual dimensions: Length, width, and height. See if it’s a good fit to the size of your room. I am also attaching a photo that shows how the back of the clock looks like.

I hope the photos help you in you in some way.

“It’s worth it. Smaller than it appears, and it WILL cut you! Handle with care. All of the edges have a sharpness that will cut you easily. I was cut 3 times: the first when I picked it up to look at it, the second and third when I was mounting it. On second thought just use gloves! It’s a rather nice clock, and it worked for the wall I had it intended for…just a bit smaller than expected based on the pic – granted I did not pay attention to the dimensions.”

This clock looks really smart. Marks are hard to clean off and found some sticky stuff that was already on it wouldn’t shift. The clock hands were bent so not happy the way it’s been package. More care needed before QC let this product leave the factory”

A great and easy to read clock. Optimal for kids learning how to read time as can be seen by the little illustrations in the picture above. Moreover, the clock also doesn’t produce any kind of ticking noise like conventional clocks and hence is quite good for people who prefer quiet clocks. Moreover, this clock works great as gifts to kids as well as their parents.

“Perfect! I purchased for my high school students ALL AP, Honors, regular… they can’t tell time on an analog clock. They have to sign in with time to use the facilities.. they could not read clock on wall and were driving teachers with the duty crazy! So, I purchased this…. perfect”

“Love it. It’s perfect for teaching my child to tell time. The hands point closely to the numbers without overlapping them. The colors of the hour and minute hands match a learning clock tool I ordered on Amazon earlier, so learning is streamlined. The second hand moves smoothly and silently, and so far seems to be accurate. The face of the clock is not too busy or distracting, unlike other options out there. And when my child outgrows it, it looks adult enough that I would have no problem using it in my kitchen or elsewhere. Thanks!”

JUST PUT IN A BATTERY AND WAIT. SERIOUSLY. 3 DAYS IN MY CASE. READ BELOW!

I was compelled to write a review for this one because I read many of the reviews first and had concerns. The clock looks nice… just like the picture. Feels durable, seems to be made well, all that is fine. The ONLY real concern that anyone has is the process of setting itself. So, I’ll explain what I did and I hope it makes people more comfortable with the purchase.

Most of the reviews / feedback basically said that people put in a battery… the unit does not properly set itself. SO, they then start all the troubleshooting like reversing battery polarity for a minute… placing it outside… moving it higher in the house… facing it West towards Colorado… all of that is great, but it still didn’t work for me. Here is what you do, and it worked on TRY #1 in my case. Put a battery in the clock… hang the clock where you want it… walk away. I put mine on the wall Sunday night at 10:PM. At some point between 10:PM Tuesday night and 8:00 AM Wed morning, it set itself perfectly. It just takes time to lock onto and decode the signal. LEAVE IT ALONE… it’ll be fine.”

“Easy to operate. Just put in a AA battery and position it so that it receives the signal from Ft Collins, CO. It takes about 5-10 minutes for it to pick up the signal, start moving the hands, and finally position the hands at the correct time. Its rather interesting to watch. After a few days, I got up at 3 a.m. to go to work and saw it do a similar maneuver again. At first the hands seem to have stopped moving because the second hand had stopped. Next thing I new, it was advancing slightly to reset itself to the correct time. Its not that the time it was giving was incorrect, but apparently the hands will stop during the receipt of the signal and then slowly advance a couple of minutes to the correct time. That’s fine by me as long as the time is always correct during normal waking hours. My purpose for buying this clock was so that I didn’t have to take the clock down from the wall twice a year during Daylight Savings changes. The battery is supposed to last for approximately 2 years, but the instructions recommend that you change the battery before the 2 years is up so as not to lose any time or function on the clock as the battery dies down. If I can get close to 2 years between taking the clock down from the wall, I would be very happy. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.”

Another atomic analog clock with a classy look, it can be set in 4 time zones  PT, MT, CT, ET and requires a single AA Alkaline Battery to work that doesn’t come included with the clock. “Self-setting clock, you simply select whether or not your area observes Daylight Savings Time (with a slider switch on the back), insert one AA battery, and hang it on your wall. Shortly thereafter the clock will auto sync with the US Atomic clock in Colorado (or other location) and Bob’s your (favorite) uncle! I love ths clock, the second hand ‘ticks’ as it goes around each minute, and it’s spot-on accurate, because it synchronizes every evening (about 2am). When daylight savings time changes come or go, the clock is correct the next morning (changes at 2 am), so no hassles. Your only job is finding a spot to mount it, and the hard work of putting one AA battery in! (Smile) It’s golden! Bought this to replace old unit which stopped working after 13 years (drumroll). Actually only the second sweep hand stopped on the old clock. So I went ahead and got this beauty. Ideal for seniors with BIG easy-to-read numbers and LONG battery life!”

Charley Says: Gave 3 Stars

“The clock arrived on time and within 5 minutes it set itself to the correct time. It is silent. Reason for the 3 star because mine only has one AA battery bay instead of the one described. It really should not be hard to update or correct the product description that reflect the actual product details. One of the reason I choose this clock because of the option to have 3 AA battery installed. My last large shop clock was going through batteries every 2 months. Lets hope this will make it through 1 year as the product information sheet said.”

Smidgen Says: Gave 5 Stars

“I ordered this clock because I got tired of resetting my cheaper clocks with every time change (which usually involved a step ladder). This clock should change automatically. Also, I’m hoping that it will maintain its time as the battery runs down, unlike other clocks that start losing time as the battery fades. Not sure it will do this but am hoping. The size is larger than some clocks, which I like as I can see it from across the room. The numerals are large and easy to read. I bought 2 of these clocks and am very pleased with them. If I find them in a smaller size, may buy a few more as well.”

An Anonymous Amazon Customer Says: Gave 1 Star

“This clock looks great and worked perfectly, for all of one month. 3 days after the Amazon return window expired, the clock suddenly stopped keeping the correct time. When I took it down off the wall to investigate, I discovered that the hour hand was swinging freely and is no longer attached to the center post properly. It is also tilting down so that it touches the face of the clock, as shown in the photo. Disappointed, as I’ve had La Crosse Technology clocks in the past and they were great.”

Charles W Says: Gave 2 Stars

“This clock arrived with the hands lose in the clock face area and the movement had come off the back. The packaging seemed in good condition so I was surprised at the damage to the clock. I looked closely and discovered that the clock movement was only attached with two narrow strips of gray double-sticky foam tape. This tape in my case didn’t seem very sticky. This is a pathetically poor way of holding on the clock movement!

I didn’t want to pay to return the broken clock or wait for the return and re-ship process. I am pretty handy so I figured I could repair the clock. I epoxied the movement back onto the clock body. Getting into the clock face area is slightly tedious – about 10 small screws hold on the back piece, then 6 wire clips hold the piece with the clock face. Since this is a radio set clock you have to let it go to the preset 12:00 position, remove the battery, press on the hands without rotating the clock mechanism at all – then put the battery back in and make sure it goes to the 12:00 position and re-do if necessary.

Once I had the clock reassembled, it works perfectly so far. Big dial, clear indication, and the color & finish choice I wanted.

However, if I were less handy or less patient I would be absolutely livid with anger that because of the weak crappy tape that holds the movement onto the clock caused my clock to arrive in pieces although the box showed no damage. Really crappy assembly – This is an expensive clock. How many cents did they save with the cheap double sticky tape to hold on the movement instead of using a decent adhesive or a couple of screws?”

‘I like this clock very much…that was up until yesterday. The clock worked great, and looks great, but I am not sure what happened over the last 30 hours because now it shows 5:21 am, and it is currently 7:05 am. Very frustrating. I have two other Atomic Clocks and they both updated themselves with no issues. I am guessing I bought myself a lemon. Who knows, but all I can say is that it is not updating like it should be. The clock is nice, and looks nice. And before anyone tells me that I can reset it to possibly fix the problem…I shouldn’t have to because it worked just fine last Daylight Savings Time in March of this year. I will manually fix the issue for now and see what happens next Daylight Savings time change.”

Mireya C Says: Gave 5 Stars

“The model and size is perfect, it was a gift for my parents, I wanted out of the right size so that without difficulty they could see the time but what I do not like very much was that the time zones to get to the time automatically are for the United States, and to put it to the time manually cost me a lot but a lot of work… the rest was very good.”

Wesley Everatt Says: Gave 1 Star

Original review: If you buy this clock, follow the instructions, and the clock receives the signal to set itself, you’ll love it. If you don’t get the signal, you’ll hate it. I have three LaCrosse clocks. Two of them correctly reset themselves for the DST change last week. The third, this one, which I view most often, did not. I got out a stepladder and took it down (the very process I had hoped to avoid by buying the clock in the first place), put in a new battery, set it by the window, spun around three times on my left leg, chanted, etc., and no luck. The biggest flaw with these clocks is that there is NO SIMPLE WAY to adjust the time manually. So if the signal isn’t coming in from Colorado for whatever reason, your clock is essentially bricked for days on end. The company says to not even speak to them for support until you’ve waited five days for the signal to arrive. Who wants to have a clock showing the wrong time for five days? It’s stupid not to have a manual override that allows you to simply reset the clock by hand. (There is a process involving a microscopic button; ridiculously complicated.) So, four days after the time change, the clock has not reset and is next to impossible to set by hand. Nice coaster, I guess.

UPDATE: Once again a time change has come and gone with no corresponding change in time on this clock. It has never adjusted while inside my house. My four other atomic clocks — all located in places that should be more challenging to receive a signal — update immediately, or by the morning after a battery change or DST adjustment. This one never has. It’s out of warranty, so it’ll do little good to contact the maker. Total waste of money. It blows my mind that anyone would release a product that basically necessitates timely adjustments — YOU USE IT TO TELL TIME — with no workable means of manual adjustment, and the admonition in the manual to wait FOR UP TO FIVE DAYS to let it get around to adjusting on its own. Unfathomably stupid engineering. At least give us a reasonable override!

UPDATE UPDATE: After writing this review, I did contact La Crosse and told them about my useless clock. After admonishing me to change the batteries, move it around, etc., they finally admitted it was defective and sent me a brand new one. Guess what? The new one does the exact same thing. At the recent time shift, it did not shift. I took it down from its east-facing wall location, changed the battery, set it by a window, waited, waited, waited for days. Nothing. It won’t change. I suspect that if I drove it to Fort Collins Colorado, from whence the signal originates, and shishkabobed it directly on the mast of the broadcast antenna, it would still not change. Bottom line: It’s garbage. I have three or four other atomic clocks in my house and they all adjust fine. Not this one. Good luck.

Joseph Tale Says: Gave 5 Stars

“Great clock. It works well and maintains a proper atomic time synchronization. Anyone who has never owned an atomic clock or wristwatch before should know that these devices usually sync best between midnight and 5 AM Eastern time due to atmospheric conditions and the distance from the atomic broadcast signal (which is located in Fort Collins, Colorado). These devices are usually programmed to try and receive a signal at that time. I have owned a few different atomic synchronized timepieces, currently including my G-Shock watch and this clock and they receive the signal fine near Toronto, Ontario, Canada, which is quite a far distance from Colorado.”

Terrance Walsh Says: Gave 5 Stars

It was eerie to watch this clock set itself, all by itself, soon after I installed the battery. After a few minutes the hands just started moving!
I picked this clock because I liked its looks. Also, I like “atomic” clocks because they are always correct. (They even reset themselves for daylight savings. Or, if you live where that does not apply, you can leave that feature off.) I am happy on both counts. This clock is not rated for use outdoors. But I’m using it outside, in a sheltered spot under the eaves of my house. It looks good there! So far, so good.

UPDATE, March 2016 — Clock has been outside for a year. Still running fine.
UPDATE, December 2016 — First battery died after 21 months. One new AA battery and clock is still running fine, outside. The clock uses just one AA battery. Switched from alkaline to lithium for better service in seriously cold weather

“To be honest I was skeptical at first since the price for this (Atomic) clock was so good. So I took a chance and went for it. Make no mistake it’s a real good clock I’m very happy with it as it synced right up to the Colorado signal in just a few minutes. I compared it to my other atomic clocks and it is spot on! Clock looks very nice on the wall and keeps perfect time. Since I’ve only had it around 3 weeks I wouldn’t be able to comment as to the battery consumption. Keep in mind, this clock is for indoor or outdoor use though not waterproof so you should keep it dry and out of the elements. Final thoughts: set up was simple but make sure you slide the switch to your appropriate time zone prior to installing the battery and hopefully everything should go quick.”

Dee Lee Says: Gave 5 Stars

“We love this clock! We installed a AA battery and put the clock on the wall. The Bureau Of Standards does the rest. We had to pick our Time Zone and note that we are on daylight saving time. The clock sets itself. This is perfect for us because we’ve had a clock above our couch for over 20 years. It’s always been a struggle to set the clock or change the battery twice a year. This clock went up on the wall with ease and we didn’t have to move the couch. The hands and face on this clock are beautiful. The sweep second hand is a bonus. It runs very quietly, too.”

Hawk Says: Gave 3 Stars

“When first setting it up, it seemed good. Time synced quickly. But the seconds hand wasn’t working. Then later in the day, the seconds hand fell off the face of the clock, yikes. Given these CCP Coronavirus times make performing returns more difficult than ever. I used a screwdriver to open the 6 hex screws on the back, and placed the seconds hand back in myself. The clock is working and the seconds hand moving. Although time is not yet in perfect sync since performing that surgery. At first time was off by 50 seconds too fast, and over night it’s down to 30 seconds too fast. So I don’t know if it will get in perfect sync, given I’m not sure when I inserted the seconds hand and moved it to ensure it was tight, if perhaps it’s thrown off a little. I know it’s supposed to get to perfect time sync on its own. I’m just uncertain, given the issues and need to self repair if it will. But it’s good enough at this point.”

Keith Willard Says: Gave 5 Stars

Soon as a battery was installed and hung on the wall, the clock took off. Took a couple of hours to sync up, and has been keeping accurate time since. Still going strong. Nice to have an accurate time piece hanging on the wall to set everything else to.

“I wasn’t sure what the frame would look like, as colors aren’t always represented accurately in photos online. This has a rustic frame and I was very pleased with it. As soon as I out the battery in, the clock started adjusting to the current time. I’m so glad I won’t have to get on a step stool to change the time next fall!”

Jajabor Says: Gave 4 Stars

“It’s a good clock. The initial setup (setting time automatically) took a while but once it worked, it was great. I don’t need to worry about changing time twice a year due to day light saving. The only complain I have is that it’s a little difficult to see the time sometimes because of the reflection on the front glass cover. It would have been better If the glass was flat and not curved.”

“This clock is very nice looking, even better than I expected. I didn’t realize the glass was curved (slight convex or ‘bubble’ shape) – this is a nice touch. I saw some reviews indicating difficult set up, but for me it was effortless – I arrived at the correct time quickly and have never looked back. I love the confidence of knowing the time is correct. I ordered a second one for another location, but have not opened that one yet. I was also pleased to find this clock does not make any sound. The second hand moves in a ticking motion (as opposed to a sweep), but there is no ticking – just silence :)”

K in Says: Gave 3 Stars

I gave this clock a “middle of the road” 3 stars because I was expecting a clock with a cherry wood bezel and a WHITE face, and instead I received a clock with a cherry wood bezel and a CREAM face. My walls are cream and I wanted the contrast. Instead, the clock face is the same color as my walls.

On a positive note, the setup was quick as easy for me. I read the instructions, set my time zone, popped in a fresh battery, and let it do its thing. Within 5-10 minutes, the hands had set to the correct time. It seems to be working well, but I’ve only had it a few days. I will update my review if or when I have something else to report.

In conclusion, I like the attractive cherry wood bezel, the size of the clock, the fact that it’s silent (no ticking), and that it was a quick easy set up. I was just disappointed with the cream face (ie: does not match the product description or product photos).”

C J King Says: Gave 5 Stars

“This is a re-buy since my original clock fell and broke, but before that worked perfectly for many years. I never had to think about the time changing or setting the clock. That is all automatic. I didn’t need to change batteries but once every couple of years, but sadly this last time I tried rehanging the clock with a Command Strip that didn’t hold and the subsequent fall did the clock in. I looked at all the current choices, but most are a lot more expensive and not as easy to read as this version with its big clear numbers, plus I didn’t know if they’d be as reliable.

This clock’s ‘wooden’ frame isn’t really wood, but looks like it. It’s more a red mahogany color than my last one which looked more like cherry, but actually goes better in the room where it’s hung. There is a tab on the back to set which US time zone you’re in and although you can set the clock manually, you don’t have to as it sets itself including changes for Daylight Saving Time (which you also can set to use or not via a tab on the back) so once hung you don’t have to take it down again until the batteries need replacing which for me is a multi-year affair.

Atomic clocks work well in my house, but sometimes in big buildings, especially those with lots of satellites, etc on the roof, there may be problems. I can hang my clocks anywhere in my house and they’re fine although the humidity in the bathroom does seem to cause problems so I use a standard clock in there. I really like this clock. I have another of the same type as well. It’s hasn’t fallen and continues to work perfectly after probably 15 years.”

H Seiden Says: Gave 5 Stars

“This product doesn’t keep accurate time and doesn’t update to WWV on any interior wall (including as they indicate, a wall facing Colorado). It was easy to set up and calibrate – OUTSIDE with good reception. Inside not so much. Also wouldn’t set. I’m in North FL and thought it would work great. I bought two of these, WT-3122A models.
Good news! The one on my patio mounted on a wall SW facing work great!
Bad news. However on any indoor wall it’s a no-go for accuracy. Without a reliable connection to WWV, it loses 1 min or more PER DAY (comparing the accuracy of the two clocks, which is easy since I have two of them).

I’m returning this (maybe I’ll keep the one outside). I was hoping for much greater accuracy even without WWV (like a minute/month?) Very disappointed.

“This clock sets itself up to the correct time and timezone using a radio signal from a research facility in Colorado that has an atomic clock. It works very well here in Ontario, Canada. It’s an attractive design and easily readable from a distance, even though installed 3 metres (10 feet) above the floor.
Note: this clock will not work in Atlantic Canada because the Colorado radio signal does not extend past Maine or Qebec.”

Bob Says: Gave 5 Stars

I bought this clock to replace a good looking marine time wall clock that was similar in looks, but it finally quit so…
I really liked the idea of a clock using a radio receiver to set and keep the correct time. After reading some of the reviews where people had problems with the clock, I was a little unsure whether to buy it or not, but I’m glad I did.

Anyway I’ve had the clock for a little while now, and no problems, plus it looks great. In fact it looks better and has details that the photo’s don’t show. When I first mounted the clock on the wall, it took awhile for it to set the time. But it set the local time perfectly compared to my computer and my mantle clock and has kept perfect time ever since.
The wood frame of the clock looks great and is medium reddish brown. The face plate has a slightly brownish white color that matches well with the wooden frame so it enhances the looks of the clock. The clock shows seconds along with minutes and it’s easy to read even in lower light settings.

In the past I had to buy a clock for the area that leads into the kitchen at least once a year, paying about $20.00 or so each time, and they did not have the auto set, auto switch over in the fall and spring, so for me this at the current price is a steal, (btw the other clocks did not even look as good as this clock does). I just hope it will last a year, if it does I’ll be content after spending money on a new wall clock every few months and in fact the last one I bought locally was DOA, but so far it’s been a great looking clock that’s been keeping perfect time

Update: A year and half after buying it, the clock is still working great and is still running great and on time with the original batteries. At this time I will probably buy another for another room.
I really like the looks and the performance of the clock and would recommend it to anyone.”

It’s unique. I was sick of clocks with digital numbers. This is exactly what I wanted, it’s digital hands are displayed on LCD screen. Arabic numbers are painted on the screen. Second hand can be turned on or off.
Like all other atomic clocks I have, it did not receive signal during the day. It successfully received signal at night.
I live in NJ so if you live closers to Fort Collins, Colorado you may get radio signal in the day also.

Those who live on east coast may have to place this clock near window, away from other electronic gadgets and wait for the night for synchronization. Quality and display is good. I can see LCD from side even from steep angles. I like this clock so much I may buy one more.”

“I grew up never knowing what time it was. The time on the clock at home was set by a household member. They tried but never got it right. The clock at school was ALWAYS running slow. I mean, what instrument WAS right? NOW, my cell phone and this clock are right on the money, and I love it. My computer is screwed up. I have it on auto set and it’s always off by 20 or more seconds. Yeah, that bugs me. Deal with it.”

“Works properly and setting it up is not complicated. It is the screen is easy to read during under daylight, or with a light source. However, it is impossible to read in the dark, and it does not have a brightness setting, ensuring that you’d still have to rely on your mobile phone to tell the time.”

I have been looking for a desk clock that also displayed the temperature, so this fit the bill. It looks sleek with the digital display (which has a 5 level dimming option) which shows the time, date, and temperature that can be clearly seen across the room. Setting it up is superbly easy, since all the buttons behind are labeled accordingly. There is a slot that holds a CR2032 battery, which is not needed for the clock to operate, but rather for the time and calendar memory which is saved in the event that the power get disconnected (I personally have not installed the battery as of yet). The temperature unit displayed can be toggle” between “Celsius” and “Fahrenheit”, which you can easily change by just one switch at the back. There is also an alarm function, which I do not use, but have tried it out. You can adjust the volume, as well as which days you want the alarm to go off (you can select up to three different alarms). Finally, there are two USB slots to charge devices without the need of having chargers at hand. This is especially useful if you set up the clock on a desk. If you want, you can remove the stand at the back and mount the clock on a wall.

This clock definitely stands out from your typical ones, and has several nifty functions to go with it. Anyone purchasing this will not regret it.”

“My power device for my LED clock in green broke twice by dropping it. So I gave up and shopped Amazon for a new LED clock with day, date, time and temperature. This one has white letters on a black background. It doesn’t bother me at night like the Green LED. The day of the week is fully spelled out. In short I love it. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

“I really do like this clock a lot. I hung it on my kitchen wall and it looks great. I hung it where there used to be a calendar. I am very happy with the purchase. it’s hi-tech design looks great and it can be easily seen at all angles from across the room. My only complaint would be the temperature reading. It’s not accurate. I’ve only seen it fluctuate between three temperatures. 80 degrees, 82 degrees and 84 degrees. However I have other thermometers in my kitchen. Those are accurate and never match up with this clock. It seems that anytime I buy an electronic device with a built in temperature gauge, it ends up being way off. I think the inner electronics heat up and make it inaccurate. So if you are looking to use this clock mainly as a thermometer, I would not purchase. However, if you are looking mainly for a super looking clock and calendar rolled into one nice unit, than definitely purchase!”

“Loving this clock. So easy to set up and has a variety of brightness settings depending on which room you use it. For our bedroom I used the lowest setting and it is fine. Does not come with battery for backup (requires round disc type readily available in most stores) but would recommend using one as it is optional. Being a retiree can be confusing figuring out what day of week it is when waking up so this settles that. Highly recommend.”

“When received, this clock could not find the “atomic” signal for at least 5 tries, so I set the time manually. However, several hours after the clock was hung on the wall, the “atomic” icon appeared and the clock has been completely accurate now for several days. I installed this clock above a door 7+ feet from the floor, but unfortunately, I could not read the time up close because ALL the numerals available on the clock would appear at the same brightness level as the actual time. This problem began to resolve as I backed away from the clock. So I ended up reinstalling it with a backing board at about a 30 degree angle facing down. Problem solved. Only purchase this clock if you plan to install it at your approximate eye level.”

Frank A Terry Junior Says: Gave 4 Stars

“I have been so frustrated with the non digital wall clocks that only stay close to accurate for a few days before getting ahead of behind the actual time. This clock stays accurate (links to the Atomic Clock in Colorado). Setup was a little problematic as the buttons on the back of the clock are very sensitive to the touch. Getting the clock to initially connect to the atomic clock was tricky. Of course it depends on where you live. The company was helpful when I called and they sent a copy of the instructions that were large enough to be easily readable.”

J Wingler Says: Gave 5 Stars

“I ordered this clock to hang in my work out room. I liked it because the numbers were big and it also has the seconds on it. The only thing I don’t really like is that it isn’t backlit so if you’re in a dark room, you can’t see what time it is. This isn’t a major issue since I’m working out during daylight hours. I did see that they do offer one with a light but not sure I’d like it so am sticking with this one. I also would like to point out shortly after ordering this, (a few short weeks), the price of this item went up quite a bit. It was $59 something but I see now it’s come back to $43 something. It is a nice clock it’s not worth that much. $39.97 seemed a fair price when I bought it so will wait for it to come back down around that price. A friend of mine would like one but have put off buying it till it comes back down in price.”

Mike Golf Says: Gave 2 Stars

Keeping in mind that I write this almost 2 years after purchase, this clock did well, right until it stopped displaying the accurate hour. (Minutes are still spot-on) I live in the Eastern time zone, but it now thinks it’s in the Central time zone and even though I change the hour in the morning to the CORRECT time zone, it drops an hour at midnight, (or thereabouts) when it gets the signal from the big atomic clock in Colorado.

As there are NO moving parts, I’m disappointed that it has now somehow “broken.” As it stands, it has cost me the price of the clock itself, and 2 batteries; this works out to about $1.07 per month … a terribly expensive timepiece! The Seller did a great job getting this to me weeks before the estimated delivery time, so it’s the manufacturer that dropped the ball.”

Rick Says: Gave 4 Stars

Works well, the price was right, it accurately updates itself once a night, and works much better than my 10 yr old unit did. Easy to set up, just put in new alkaline batteries, I hung it on the wall and walked away knowing that it would set itself during the evening which it did fine, and the only thing I had to do after was just set the correct Time Zone which was easy. I never had to read the directions.

The only problem was that with each of the Three clocks we ordered when they arrived even though the outside of all packing boxes where in great condition, but when we took the clocks out you could hear something rattling around on the inside of both clocks. We noticed other people also complained of the same thing, and they spoke of how they took the clocks apart and fixed it. Well, so I took the 8 screws out of the back of each clock and opened them, and could clearly see the WWVB antenna was just hanging flopping around, and pieces of the hot-glue-gun glue that was used to secure it were loosely rolling around as well. I emptied the loose glue pieces out and re-glued the antenna back in place with good quality glue that this time will not come undone! We had to do this with each clock, and it took about 15 minutes each clock to fix and put back together.

I could have easily returned both clocks for this obviously is a continuing problem, but did not want to go through all the effort of returning them only to get new ones that have the same very poor gluing job. You would of thought someone somewhere after reading the other reviews would of fixed it by now. The clocks themselves seem to work very well, I like them and is what I wanted, and this is why we decided to keep them and spend the effort for a relatively simple re-glue job. If it wasn’t for the repair I had to do, I would of easily gave it 5 star for this clock @ the $19 price I paid for it.They should deduct $7.50 each clock for my repair charge 🙂 …and I’ve let them know that too.”

“I wanted a big clock for my wall. And as you can see by the 16 ounce Coke bottle in the picture, this clock is huge! Other reviewer’s say it’s too bright. While I will agree it’s bright, you get used to it. When I first took it out of the box and hung it up, I thought it was too bright as well. But over the past week and a half I’ve actually had it hanging in my bedroom to test the brightness and haven’t lost one minute of sleep since I hung it up. That’s probably due to the red color. I think the blue would have kept me up as it would’ve been lighting up the room. If it’s too bright for you, just get some 20% limo tint from your nearest auto parts store, or here on Amazon, and apply layers until you’re happy. But if you like big clocks folks, this is the one for you, get it! :-)”

JM Weatherly Says: Gave 3 Stars

“The clock is perfect for wall-mounting or being placed at distance in a brightly-lit environ. The major issue I had was that there were no LED brightness adjustments available to knock it down a notch or seven. The clock was bright enough that I could see the demonic red glow of the LEDs from across the apartment. Other than that, the clock does correctly keep track of time and the date and temp displays work. As for me, I’ll be treating my clock to some major league tinting or breaking out “Ye Olde Soldering Iron” to add a bit of dimming action myself.”

Ninhydrin Says: Gave 5 Stars

Installation on the wall definitely requires some work unless you opt to put this on a desktop. But I wouldn’t recommend that because it’s a little bit light and the weight of the cord might yank it from the table. Choosing a location on the wall could be a little bit limiting as the power cable is not very long (3m / 9 feet). Standard heights of walls are usually 9 feet so the cable stretches just enough to reach the power source. Therefore, a location right above a socket is almost always imperative, unless of course you have a cord extension.

The LED display is definitely not as bright as the devil red eyes bright that the others have sworn but just bright enough to be visible during daytime or when the lights are on. Construction is not much of a standout as it feels like a cheap plastic and at times gave me the impression that it’s frail and easily breakable. But since it will never be touched again after installation, provided it was not damaged during handling, makes its cheap plasticky feel not that big of a deal. Although I would have been willing to spend a little more if it were made of aluminum or something sturdier.”

“I bought this clock to replace my old digital clock that needs to be plugged into an electric socket. I got tired to resetting the time every time there was a power failure. Although this clock is battery operated, it has no back light so you can’t see the time at night. The numbers are easily readable during the day and when the room light is on. But with the lights off, it is useless especially when you wake up in the middle of the night and trying to check what time it is, it is not possible unless you shine a light on to it. That was my most disappointing experience with this purchase.”

“The numbers are a nice size and the date. I hung it over my stove. The ability to set the timer is very difficult and the instructions are not clear at all. However… I’m convinced that the indoor and / or outdoor thermometer are not accurate. The entire unit sat in my office for 6 hours or so, but the “Indoor Temperature” and the “Outdoor Temperature” differed by 3 degrees F. That inaccuracy is why I deducted a star. The unit comes with quite spartan instructions (8 small pages). It doesn’t need detailed instructions, but I’d like to understand the different symbols that are visible on the clock, but not explained (e.g. the Broadcast symbol above the seconds seems to mean it got the radio signal; however a right arrow next to the outdoor temperature means what? My guess is that the temperature is “steady”). The manual is written in actual English – and not poorly translated as much electronics are these days.

It does seem to be tracking the “atomic time”. I coarsely set the time yesterday and overnight it corrected and seems accurate to-the-second (comparing to time.gov, for example). We have a small “atomic” clock by Seiko that is maddeningly difficult to set and use. I was a bit worried that this unit would be similarly painful… But it was not… you should be able to figure out how to set the time and/or alarm with no instructions at all. And that’s the way it SHOULD be! One feature that is interesting is the keeping of the high and low temperatures. I just checked to see if we got down to freezing last night (we didn’t, it read 39 as the low). Others have reported that it eats batteries pretty quickly – especially the outdoor sensor. I’ve only had it a little more than 24 hours, so will be paying attention. One downside of the unit is that it’s not backlit, and there is no back light button or option. In dimmer light it is difficult to read.

Mounting/desktop use: It has 3 triangular holes in the back – theoretically the left and rightmost ones could be hung on nails or screws – however it sits out from the wall about an inch. I have it hanging via the center slot on a nail, but using the buttons on top like that is a little dicey. It also has a “kick stand” to stand upright on a desk. STRENGTHS:Easy to set, Tracks time accurately, Large digits. WEAKNESSES: No backlight / hard to read in dim light, or at a more than 30 degrees off axis, Temperature seems to be off by as much as 3 degrees F.”

Bob N Says: Gave 2 Stars

“We have moved the outdoor sensor to areas outside where sun does not shine directly on the sensor but the temperature does not regerster anything close to the outside temp.
Six years ago we had a purchased LA CROSSE atomic digital wall clock with all the same features and it was working perfectly until the outdoor sensor was water damaged so we had decided to buy new, but that was a mistake old is better than new.”

I do like this clock and it replaced a similar 15 year old version. My only gripe is that being only 6 feet from the western exterior wall of my house, it can’t detect the radio signal. If I move it to the window, it gets the signal. Move it back to its place on the interior wall, I lose the signal. It keeps perfect time nonetheless, just a little disappointing when the one it replaced grabbed the same signal from the exact same nail hole on the wall. This was a one-for-one swap for us. The older version was losing its LCD (?) digits. So this was a necessary change. Anyway, wonderful clock and looks great. The black trim is very sharp. I measure it as a 10.5 inch square, with rounded corners.

December 7, 2018 Edit: As suggested in my comment, I put in Lithium batteries about 2 months ago when I had some in the house. Still in the same place on the wall as this spring, since then the clock does grab the radio signal for the self-setting time. Great advice! October 6, 2019 Edit: I switched out to the Lithium batteries almost one year ago and those same batteries continue to power this clock. If you are having issues with the clock receiving the signal, switch to Lithium. Even this early morning I see my clock still connected with the antenna icon showing. I should have done this before, but I am adding 1 star to my review and making it be a 5 star review. This clock is great… with the right batteries in it”

“This was the THIRD La Crosse clock that I’ve purchased. I like the features, especially both indoor and outdoor temperatures, which is why I kept buying them. These clocks just don’t last. The third and current one just bit the dust in less than 3 years. A month ago, the readouts went blank, and my recollection was that it hadn’t been long since I changed the batteries. Yesterday, the readouts went blank again. I changed the batteries again, but no readout, so I’m through with this brand. I’ll try another brand this time. I cannot recommend this product.”

“I bought this clock AND IT SUPPOSED TO INCLUDE THE AC ADAPTER AND HAVE BACK LIGHT for viewing at night. However, La Crosse Technology makes the exact same clock without the back light feature – and as such does not include the AC Adapter. The part number is virtually the same, except for the addition of “BL” in the middle of the part number. As such, the Amazon shipping people are sending the clock that looks identical and has virtually the same part number but does not include the AC Adapter or have the back light feature. Take a look at the photo I copied from the Amazon web site. It shows the two clocks in question. I contacted Amazon. They refunded the price difference between the two clocks. The amazon also rep also said he would inform the shipping people… As for the clock itself, it looks good and is working fine. I had to take two stars off the review since I paid for back light and the AC Adapter but did not get it.”

A Mom from the United States Syas: Gave 5 Stars

“After I retired one of the hardest things to remember is what day it was. Just a quick glance at the clock confirmed for me if it was Tuesday or Wednesday. Everybody laughed but I find it most handy. Everybody that is retired ought to get one of these!”

Jason R Says: Gave 5 Stars

“When we got a replacement high-def. set-top box, we were surprised to find that it no longer has a front display with clock (thanks, Motorola!). So far, the La Crosse clock works as advertised. It took around a day for the clock to sync, but now that it has, it keeps accurate time. I even logged onto time.gov to see how accurate. It’s to the second. The instruction manual that came with it is very basic, so I visited the La Crosse website and found a more thorough manual. According to that one, it can take up to three days for the clock to find the signal. In addition, it plugs in for bright and clear backlight and the reading is large so we can see it from a fairly far distance. Provided the clock maintains the signal, it’s a five-star rating.

Merry’s Dad Says: Gave 5 Stars

“My wife and I love this clock. The clock and display are a nice size for easy reading. I wanted a clock that displayed the Day-of-the-Week name and this clock lets you set the full OR an abbreviated version of the name. The settings allow you to display the date or the seconds in a small window.
When the wall adapter is plugged in, the date and time are backlit. With battery power only, the backlit feature times out after half a minute or so. Backlighting can be set to Bright, Low or Off. My first night with this clock, the backlit feature was set to Bright — and it seemed like trying to sleep with a lighthouse in our room. Next day I read the Manual and adjusted the backlighting to Low. With it set to Low, it was harder to see the time under full sun during the day, but it was much better at night. My clock is wall mounted, but if it was on a table, you could adjust the backlighting more easily. So far, I am very happy with my purchase and I would recommend this clock to others.”

“This is a GREAT clock for someone who is retired and not on a schedule and sometimes questions what day of the week it is! I bought one for my Dad and he loves it. Now, that I am retired, I am considering buying one for myself! It stays lite and also is atomic. This can be hung on the wall or it can sit on a table or desk. It would be nice for an office, too! GREAT CLOCK AND GREAT PRICE.”

I decided to go ahead and buy this to update the alarm clock in my room. I figured the large numbers would be easy to read from anywhere in the bedroom.Upon getting it, I realized that the dimming function didn’t do much, after one night with it lighting up my room, I felt like I was in the episode from Seinfeld where the chicken place drove Kramer crazy with its super bright red light invading his apartment.

I decided to take action, at first I thought I’d go ahead and modify the circuit to just lower the current of the LEDs but once I opened it, the beautiful board was clearly not going to help me trace any lines and I reverted to a much lower tech approach. The 7-segment LEDs has a diffuser which helped uniformity spread the light across the segment, so I just used some plain lightweight printer paper and doubled the material between the diffuser and the LEDs. So far the difference is notable, and I no longer wake up with the power of 1,000 suns illuminating the room.”

Mandi Says: Gave 4 Stars

“It’s big and works great so far… downside, it’s super bright even on the lowest dim for our bedroom. Reminds me of a huge fish tank glow. I wouldn’t recommend this clock for a bedroom if you appreciate darkness. Best for gaming room, living room, and offices… pretty much any place besides the bedroom…

Ford Says: Gave 4 Stars

“This is pretty cool. Looks great in the day light. The only reason I don’t give it 5 stars is that it’s way too bright at night. I have a fairly large bedroom and it lights up the whole room at night. Yes I dim it to the lowest setting at night. Wish there was a way to manually dim this much more. Since it’s in a bedroom, it will mostly be used at night. If you put it somewhere that you don’t mind the whole room being bright at night, it looks great.”

Peter D Says: Gave 4 Stars

We got this as a night-viewable clock for my son’s room. It is generally pretty good, although there were two minor drawbacks to it:

1) The alarm-off switch proved a little small for a young, half-awake kid to quickly locate early in the morning. But your milage may vary.

2) This thing is BRIGHT! No matter how we adjusted it, this light was easily brighter than any nightlight we have ever had. You could probably read by it’s light. We actually had to place a thin piece of dark fabric over it to make the numbers dim enough for our kid to sleep. But in all other regards it has been a perfectly functional clock.”

Abble Says: Gave 5 Stars

This is exactly what I expected and I saw some of the reviews stated that it’s not that clear to read the time but it’s fine with me and better than I thought.

Well priced and I like the fact that the USB cable is connected behind the clock (not on the side) so it makes the clean look. The first night the clock was running 15 mins behind, I’m not sure if it’s because I removed the back up battery, so I put it back in and the time has been accurate since then 🙂 Not to mention the super fast shipping, thanks to Prime!!”

I have had 2 Atomic clocks over many years. Both were from the same company – La ******. I also have several watches so I am familiar with the quality of Marathon watches, the maker of this fine atomic clock, I just did not know they had atomic clocks until this purchase. When 1 of my atomic clocks died I made the decision to purchase another while looking at the selection, I happened upon the Marathon clock. I liked the specifications, read many positive reviews, and decided to purchase due to these factors plus the great reputation that Marathon has as a watchmaker.

I am extremely happy with my purchase! The clock is much easier to program than the other brand, it has much better documentation, and has more options. The clock also seems so far to pick up the atomic signal better than the other brand. When I took it out of the box in the middle of the afternoon, I pressed the receive button put it near a West facing window and in a couple of minutes it was set properly. I then mounted it on my office wall and every day since purchase it has recieved the atomic signal without error. I am very satisfied with the Marathon Atomic Clock and am very glad I made the switch to Marathon. It is a great clock in every way and in every way it is at leat 1 notch ahead of the La ****** brand. Do not hesitate to purchase the Marathon Atomic Clock!”

“This Marathon wall clock replaces a LAD unit that I owned for 5 years. I was looking to replace my LAD unit with a more modern wall clock and I wanted to move the LAD unit downstairs to the home gym.

I really like this clock. The numbers pop out and it syncs every night. Setup was a breeze and the accompanied back hook slot made hanging it up a breeze. The watch looks and feels more expensive than it was. It takes standard batteries and there’s not much else to it. I don’t use the alarm function but I’m sure it works fine too…..I haven’t tested it. I use this clock in my Master bedroom ensuite washroom and without it I’d be in the shower way longer than I should. I sync my mechanical watches to it and its the best clock in our home. My wife likes the way it looks and it classes up our bathroom. This is my first Marathon product and I accidentally stumbled upon it when I was researching Marathon wrist watches……I’m going to have to give one of those a try now.”

Jack L Says: Gave 5 Stars

“I chose this particular model for the humidity feature. Unfortunately, the humidity reported by this clock is consistently 11-14% higher than the other 3 hygrometers I have in the room, where all hygrometers are from different brands and all are within +/- 2% of each other. Yes…humidity is a big concern for where I use this. With this clock, I have to remember to subtract at least 11 from the reading, which is something that I will forget to do, so I put a piece of tape over the humidity portion of this clock to black out the reported humidify…but I guess I will live with it since the clock looks quite nice.”

Eliton Pessoa Says: Gave 5 Stars

“I have it for about a month now and I do not regret it. This clock has good size, which helps to see the time and the temperature. The alarm is loud, so you can wake up with it. However, I think that the button to stop the alarm was easier to use. Sometimes I press the red button and it disarms the alarm, which I have to set it up again and in other moments I press the same button and it stops the alarm and it does not disable the alarm… Not sure what is wrong. Still, I love this clock and I really recommend it. :)”

KT Brown Says: Gave 4 Stars

“Good value for money, especially since you don’t have to keep adjusting the time after several months like with non-atomic clocks. The time signal is strongest overnight and in the early morning, maybe because of lower EMF interference at these times.”

Anna Sermak Says: Gave 5 Stars

“I love this clock, it’s always accurate and looks good on the wall as well.”

Zachh Says: Gave 5 Stars

Overall, the clock is excellent, it arrived quickly and securely packaged, and has already become a conversation piece in my office. The clock is powered via a USB cable, and a wall adapter was included. The clock does not have any hardwired controls; all the settings are controlled by the included remote. The remote does require two AAA batteries (not included). The controls are not very intuitive, but luckily the included instruction sheet is very clear and thorough.

The clock has a ton of settings, supports 12 and 24 hour time, countdowns (Days, Hours, Minutes, Seconds) and count ups, as well as alarm and calendar settings. You can also adjust the brightness of the clock, which is great, since its highest setting is blindingly bright, which I imagine would be useful for some applications, but was a little more than my office needed. I saw some reviews about it losing time; I ‘ve had it running for a week and haven’t experienced any issues. The only cons I can see are the AAA batteries not being included, and some of the construction is not 100% polished (there are a few slightly rough edges on the acrylic panels that connect the numbers, and from the back you can see through to the clocks PCB board). Overall, while it’s not entirely perfect, it is an impressive display piece, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.”

Jims Says: Gave 5 Stars

“I love the clock! It is even bigger than I expected. As others have stated, it is BRIGHT, even on the lowest setting. It seems a little flimsy, but after it is mounted, that is not a concern. I used the included remote to program my universal remote to control the clock. No need to have another remote on the table. It is great to be able to set the clock using a remote instead of having to go to the clock and push buttons on the back of it. If I had the choice, I would prefer the colon to be on longer when it flashes. It has a short flash, and then seems off for too long.”

Patrick Russel Says: Gave 4 Stars

“the product is great so far. it looks great and works great. the reason for only 4 stars has to do with the instructions being vague, due to the manual covering multiple products and poor English translation. I was initially so frustrated trying to set the time that I almost gave up and returned the product. The operation of the menus for setting time is not intuitive and I only figured it out accidentally. I would strongly suggest that the seller improve the instruction manual.”
