Auditory/ Talking clocks: What are they? All about them!

An auditory clock or a talking clock is basically a clock that talks to its user. It can tell time by getting commands which are either audio too or given by pressing a specific button. Moreover, most of the auditory clocks also tell things like the date, temperature, and some other stuff like jokes.

Usually, talking clocks come with a recorded human voice service that is used. These voices have been pre-recorded and they will automatically speak time when commanded

History Of Sounds In Clocks

Its been quite a while now since clocks have come with the sounds. The very first alarm clock was made by a farmer that only made sound once during the dawn. And farmers cumulatively as a profession were the very first people who popularized the concept. As they had to wake up earlier then most of the professions at the time. Quite a few centuries later a clock that could only sound once in the early morning evolved into something that could be set according to the time one wishes.
